NiCr 30 20
Werkstoff – Nr. 1.4860
DIN 17470 / 17471
Common trade names: Common trade names: NiCr30/20, Ni30Cr20.

NiCr 30 20 (1.4860) can be used at operating temperature up to 1000°C. Nickel-chromium alloy 30/20 is especially characterized by high resistivity and relatively low prices when compared with other nickel-chromium alloys. In spite of its relatively high iron content, NiCr3020 is resistant to oxidation and chemical corrosion. Nichrome 30/20 is non-magnetic.

Application

NiCr 30 20 (1.4860) is used as electric components in domestic appliances and other electric heating equipment. It has good ductility after long time usage, good mechanical property at high temperature and good weldability. The maximum working temperature in air is +600°C when used for resistance wires and +1050°C when used for heating wires.
  • high-value electrical resistors and for heating wires.
  • electric heating elements (Electric blankets and pads, car seats, baseboard heaters, floor heaters, resistors).
  • industrial furnaces up to 1000°
  • heating cables, rope heaters rope heaters in defrosting and de-icing elements.
